Greetings all and one.
Yet another fine day greeted the harriers for a walk /run in the Waikerikeri valley. Another outing of 40 something members car pooled out to the valley.
The runners headed on up the ridge ,looping round to come to a paddock of clover , which they found was still very damp, almost as bad as wandering into the creek. The W1s and half the W2s also headed up Lilico spur , whilst the other half of the W2s headed on up the creek. One can only really say that it is a steady old climb up the ridge. And it always seems better when on the downhill return. And it appeared although they were a few people with wet feet , no one found a deep hole in the creek and got really wet. Meantime the W3s wandered back down the road to the original harrier outing venue of Attfield’s woolshed before returning back. The W3s were last group back in , not sure if they were led astray Or if pack leader was making sure they got a good walk in. Plenty of afternoon tea for all anyway.
For any old ducks in the club , we will try to avoid the duck shooters this weekend
