I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter weekend and are feeling ready to work off the hot cross buns and chocolate eggs with the first outing of the 2026 Harrier season this Saturday!

Event Raffle – $5 per member; $10 per visitor
Details – Join us for a local Alexandra outing based from our meeting spot at Centennial Park, the corner of Thompson, Walton and Rivers Streets ie opposite the Bailey bridge crossing the Manuherekia River.
Parking – there is now reduced parking along Rivers Street due to the temporary road, so you may need to park along Thompson Street or in the carpark behind Alexandra Community Centre and Memorial Theatre.
AGM update
We had a fantastic attendance at our recent Annual General Meeting – thanks to all who attended for your support and interest. The new constitution was approved and submitted to Incorporated Societies the following day — and we are very happy to say received our certificate of incorporation soon afterwards! Thanks to all involved for getting the new constitution prepared and to everyone for their feedback and approval! A copy of the new constitution will be available on our website.
The 2026 committee was elected, with all existing committee remaining, and we are very happy to welcome Glenda Thompson and Hinewhui Hinks to the join us. Jill and Glenda have taken on the joint role of Deputy Club Captain to learn the ropes from Jojo.
Membership Forms
As part of the new constitution required by the new act, we now need all members to complete a membership form each year. These were circulated at the Annual General meeting for members to fill in and will be available from our website or at each outing. Can you pleaase ensure that you fill one in as soon as possible. Thank you.

Email List
Following on from the rules in the new constitution, we will be culling the email list to financial members only from 30 June 2026. If you are no longer a financial member, then you will be able to keep up to date with club news and programme by checking out the club webpage – https://alexharriers.co.nz
2026 Programme
An exciting programme has been formulated and finalised by Jojo and the committee for your seasons enjoyment. Copies are being printed in time for the Opening event on Saturday! Pick up your copy at any Harrier event.
The Programme will be available on the webpage to download too!
I’m hoping that Gary has had a word with the Weather Gods to organise a lovely dry day for this Saturday! But be prepared for any weather conditions as a general rule – just in case they are not listening!!
