Roll up for a magical mystery tour

This Saturday the Harriers head for Bendigo, Ignore time on programme .We will car pool up to Welshtown / Logantown area of Bendigo, car pooling from corner of Walton & Thompson streets departing at 12 noon , with M-Zs duty pack this week.

A bit of a mystery seems to lure folk out ,even with the weather still a bit uncertain. Where to ? One member was convinced it was a cunning plan to pick up people at Clyde and Cromwell , then go round the roundabout and head back to the pub in Alex. Thirsty work before you’ve even had a walk.

It turned out to be up to Wanaka area ,offering to drop W1 walkers off at base of mount Iron to walk up the hill ,then down through the Kanuka and finding their way down to the river and the bus at Albertown camp ground. Barb offered to lead some W2 walkers up Mount Iron as well ,following in the footsteps of the W1s. Just not sure if the W2s had heard properly, that they were going to stay on bus to Albertown and head along Deans Bank. So with 15 or 16 in each group ,that left just 11 W2 & W3 walkers to stay on the bus to Albertown , deciding to take in the downstream track towards the Cadrona river and beyond.

I think the W1s must still have a guilty conscience , as they were again heard telling anyone who would listen ,that they were first back ,on time again.
Amanda seemed certain a pair of abandoned undies by the bus ,belonged to a secret service agent by the name of Bond, James Bond.

This Saturday we will car pool up to Bendigo (hill is too steep for a bus ) departing at 12 noon.
I am not sure if anyone intends doing the Kanuka loop track at Bendigo. Last year they left at 10am but were a bit late back so would suggest 9:30am. If anyone interested in taking an early group out let me know and I can flick a reminder out to those interested.

We are fast running out of outings :
