Blackstone Hill Becks side

This Saturday the harriers are closer to home at the Alexandra Airport. Meet corner Walton & Thompson streets at 1:00pm to car pool there with M-Zs duty pack this week.

Perhaps i scared a few people off the Blackstone Hill walk as only about 25 made the trip. The photos do not appear to show it as steep as the previous week. Must have been less contour lines than expected.
Ewan led one group up to the top of the hill , whilst John T. sort of led another group to various elevations , whilst Graham led a smaller group around the lower elevations.
A lamb tried to adopt a new family on the walk , with Barrie being first choice of dad.
Rain forecast earlier in the week did not eventuate and the last day of winter relented with mild conditions.

Attached this week is recipe for Anzac biscuits that i didn’t get round to attaching last week.

The club is also trying to update it’s list of members holding first aid certificates and when they expire. In the past the club has organised a training course and paid half the fee. If you have a current first aid certificate , please email details to secretary info@alexharriers.co.nz

Saturday was down for rain ,but now should clear about midday , so hopefully will not need a jacket. Plenty of tracks around the airport
so should keep everyone occupied. Hope to see you there
