It;’s a local outing this Saturday, possibly down Lake Roxburgh on either side of the river/lake… Everyone to meet at Centennial Park, corner of Walton, River and Thomson Streets.
Anyone interested in a slightly longer walk up to a trig station 500 m above sea level then meet at Centennial Park at 12:15. Bring your warm gear and wet weather kit, just in case!
For everyone else, meet at 1pm to head down the river.

27 hardy soles ventured out to Merino Ridges on the bus on a grey day – the rain wasn’t heavy enough to see it falling down, but enough for everyone to feel damp as they wandered around.
Everyone hit the farm tracks – there were rumours of a couple of snow flakes falling from the W1s. The W2s probably trailed behind the W1s and the W3s also headed up a farm track and turned around to head back to afternoon tea.
We finished at the right time with the rain becoming heavy and a cold wind coming up at afternoon tea – lucky we had shelter in the implement shed.
Hope to see you all on Saturday – I asked Alexa what the weather was going to be for us and she said intermittent cloud and maybe a bit warmer at 15 degrees. I’m guessing intermittent cloud means just a few clouds in the sky!
