Bring your warm gear and wet weather kit, just in case!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For everyone else, meet at 1pm to head down the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Duty Pack &#8211; M-Z<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you know what you are doing next year, see the President&#8217;s message below:<br>Harriers Winter trip next Matariki weekend 24-27 June 2027<br>Stewart Island<br>Leaving noon from Alexandra on Thursday 25 June<br>Maybe on a bus<br>Multiple activities options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tramp the Rakiura Track 3 days<br>Or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fixed base<br>Daily walks, boat trip to Ulva Island, water taxi to Port William and walk back, fishing on a boat, night kiwi spotting etc<br>Accommodation at a backpackers or lodge yet to be determined.<br>Cost may be $300-$400+ depending on choice of activities<br>Text or email Mike Kotkamp (027-275-0369 or <a href=\"mailto:michael.kotkamp@gmail.com\">michael.kotkamp@gmail.com<\/a>) if you are interested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">27 hardy soles ventured out to Merino Ridges on the bus on a grey day &#8211; the rain wasn&#8217;t heavy enough to see it falling down, but enough for everyone to feel damp as they wandered around.<br>Everyone hit the farm tracks &#8211; there were rumours of a couple of snow flakes falling from the W1s. The W2s probably trailed behind the W1s and the W3s also headed up a farm track and turned around to head back to afternoon tea.<br>We finished at the right time with the rain becoming heavy and a cold wind coming up at afternoon tea &#8211; lucky we had shelter in the implement shed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hope to see you all on Saturday &#8211; I asked Alexa what the weather was going to be for us and she said intermittent cloud and maybe a bit warmer at 15 degrees.
